The Herdscape Regenerative Grazing and Livestock Management Course is an online foundational programme designed for farmers, farm managers, advisors, and students who want to transition from conventional, input-heavy farming to a regenerative, ecology-centered approach. Instead of focusing solely on production outputs, the course teaches participants how to restore and steward the natural systems that underpin profitable agriculture — soil biology, water cycles, nutrient flow, biodiversity, and pasture health. Livestock are reframed as tools to regenerate landscapes, improve soil function and build long-term resilience, rather than merely units of production.
Built around a practical five-pillar framework, the course equips participants with the skills to plan grazing systems, monitor ecological signals, strengthen financial and strategic decision-making, and improve communication and leadership on the farm. With optional add-ons such as an on-farm workshop or personalised coaching, the programme helps learners turn regenerative principles into real-world action, enabling them to develop farms that are ecologically healthy, financially robust, and aligned with their long-term goals and values.
You will be able to choose what parts of the course are of most value to you by skipping through those parts that may not seem relevant. If the part of the course is listed as “Recommended Reading” please at least take the time to read or scan through it before marking as complete and moving to the next part. You can always come back to it later if you wish. However, you MUST complete everything that is directly related to the practice and outcomes of using regenerative methods for managing grazing and livestock. Those sections are marked as “Required Reading” and you will not be able to move on until they are complete. If you wish to have verification that you have completed this course then you must pass all the quizzes in the course, including those in the sections marked as recommended reading.
